MCEC Online Learning

Welcome to the difference you're about to make.

A short video course designed to help educators and school professionals understand the unique needs, strengths, and challenges faced by military children providing care to a wounded, ill, or injured family member.

These young caregivers are referred to as Hidden Helpers because the care they provide is often unseen, unrecognized, and unsupported.

Watch the video modules to identify the challenges Hidden Helpers face and explore strengths, strategies, and resources to support them.

  • Four video modules, 30 minutes total:
    • Define and Identify Youth Caregivers
    • Strengths and Challenges of Hidden Helpers
    • Needs of Military Familes and Youth
    • Supporting the Well-Being of Military Caregiving Youth
