Community Coordinators

Equipping communities to serve the children of those who serve us all.

Who We Are

MCEC Community Coordinators are highly trained and experienced representatives who serve as a liaison to local and regional military communities. We provide guidance and assistance to military families, schools/districts, and installation/community stakeholders while also implementing MCEC programs, trainings, and initiatives. The Community Coordinator’s overall purpose is to be a resource and serve the children of Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve, and Veteran families.

Community Coordinators work with the community to identify needs, provide resources, and build strong relationships among students, parents, school personnel, community members, school liaisons, and other installation personnel. We deliver MCEC trainings and other programs in-person, virtually or in a hybrid model as needed, and are the regional points of contact to facilitate other MCEC training opportunities. We help school districts and individual campuses understand the value and requirements of being designated a Purple Star School and assist them in fulfilling those requirements.
