Thank You for Supporting Military-Connected Kids During Month of the Military Child
Throughout April, communities across the country came together to recognize, celebrate, and uplift military-connected children and their families. From Purple Up Day celebrations to community events, downloadable resources, and advocacy efforts, this year’s Month of the Military Child campaign helped shine a light on the resilience and strength of military kids everywhere.
Schools, organizations, military installations, and families downloaded and used the 2026 Month of the Military Child Toolkit to recognize military-connected children through posters, yard signs, certificates, activity sheets, and community events.
The toolkit helped supporters create meaningful moments of recognition and connection throughout April.
Download the ToolkitOn April 15th, supporters across the country wore purple to recognize the sacrifices and resilience of military-connected children. Purple Up Day once again united schools, military communities, organizations, and families in celebration of the kids who serve alongside their loved ones.
Supporters also amplified the campaign online using #PurpleUp and #MOMC to share stories, photos, and moments of appreciation.
