Discover effective practices and programs designed to support students during school transitions, and explore the critical role of supportive schools in fostering their success.

Session 1: Serving Military-Connected Students
Gain a deeper understanding of who military-connected students are and explore the unique experiences that shape their academic, social, and emotional development. Learn how schools can recognize their strengths, address challenges, and create supportive environments that promote resilience and success.

Session 2: MIC3 Compact: Engage, Learn, Apply
Explore the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children, which provides uniform treatment for military children transferring between states. This session addresses key transition areas such as eligibility, enrollment, placement, and graduation. Through interactive case studies, participants will learn how to apply the Compact’s provisions and gain practical insights to better support students during school transitions.

Session 3: Leveraging Resources for Student Success
Engage with key statewide policies, initiatives, and resources that support military-connected students — including the Purple Star Campus Designation and student identification processes — and discover how Education Serve Center (ESC) Military Champions serve as regional contacts, offering collaboration opportunities and tools to help schools enhance their support systems.
