
Lucy Reilly Fitch
Lucy Reilly Fitch is a former business journalist and a retired U.S. Aerospace & Defense executive. She served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing & Communications Officer from 2008 to 2018 for both BAE Systems Inc. and Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), respectively.
In her roles as the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, Fitch was responsible for corporate reputation and brand management; internal and external communications; executive communications; media relations; digital and social media; thought leadership; events and trade shows; corporate social responsibility and philanthropy; visual/video services; financial communications, and crisis management.
At BAE Systems she also served as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development (Mergers & Acquisitions) and Strategy, where she led the successful completion of more than 30 acquisitions and divestitures valued at more than $9 billion from 2000-2008.
Prior to BAE Systems, Fitch was the Director, Business Development & Strategic Planning at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Bethesda, MD.
Fitch began her career as an award-winning financial journalist, working throughout the United States for the American City Business Journal newspaper chain, as well as King Publishing and Washington Technology.
Fitch holds an international Master of Business Administration degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in journalism and mass communications from Kansas State University.
Fitch was appointed to the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business inaugural MBA Mentor Program in 2016. She is the chairman-emeritus of the Kansas State University A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications Board of Advisors.
