Lucy Reilly Fitch
Lucy Reilly Fitch is senior vice president and chief communications officer for SAIC where she is responsible for SAIC’s corporate reputation and brand management; internal and external communications; executive communications; media relations; digital and social media; thought leadership; events and trade shows; corporate social responsibility and philanthropy; visual services; financial communications, and crisis management.
Fitch, formerly an award-winning financial journalist, has global experience in the aerospace and defense industry, where she has specialized in corporate communications, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business development, and analysis.
Prior to joining SAIC in 2011, she worked for BAE Systems Inc. as senior vice president for corporate communications, as well as senior vice president of acquisitions and strategy. Among her accomplishments was the successful completion of more than 30 acquisition and divestiture transactions valued at more than $9 billion.
Before joining BAE Systems in 2000, Fitch was the director for business development and strategic planning at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Sector.
She began her defense industry career in business development at the Hughes Aircraft Co. (now Raytheon), performing strategic and competitive analysis.
Fitch holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and mass communications from Kansas State University.
Fitch was appointed to the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business inaugural MBA Mentor Program in 2016. She is the chairman-emeritus of the Kansas State University A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications Board of Advisors.
