Barrett Scruggs

Barrett Scruggs is the Chief Operating Officer of BBG Real Estate Services, a national commercial real estate firm with over 50 offices across the U.S. He leads the company’s operational, marketing, and strategic growth initiatives, driving performance improvement, risk management, and brand expansion across BBG’s platform.

Before joining BBG, Barrett served as a Vice President at SoFi Technologies, where he held senior leadership roles across multiple business lines including SoFi at Work, SoFi Money, and SoFi Invest. During his tenure, he helped scale the firm’s workplace financial wellness business to more than 800 corporate clients and 7 million employees, doubled user growth in two years, and delivered substantial operational efficiencies.

Earlier in his career, Barrett held leadership roles at Citigroup, where he directed digital transformation and service operations for Citi’s U.S. credit card portfolio. He began his professional journey as a Air Defense Artillery officer in the U.S. Army, serving in air and missile defense operations in the Middle East, earning the Bronze Star Medal and graduating from the U.S. Army Ranger School.

Barrett holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he was captain of the varsity football team.
