Shelby Broadwell
Shelby is the proud mom of two wonderful young adult military dependents.
She has been a proud Air Force spouse for over 29 years. She, along with
Larry, have personally navigated 15 moves, numerous deployments while
helping countless military families do the same.
Shelby earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from the University of
Georgia. She worked in Exercise Physiology, her area of interest, for multiple
years before becoming a full time stay-at-home mom (Family Manager). This
is when her passion for helping in the school system started. She served for
numerous years as PTA board member, classroom volunteer, and school
event coordinator. She has also served as a board member and president of
two Athletic Booster Clubs.
Shelby has enjoyed her family’s AF adventures. She is very grateful for the
fantastic friendships and relationships made throughout the years. She is also
thankful for the opportunity to contribute to a broad array of Air Force, military
and community organizations. Her energy and passion for Airmen and their
families is contagious. She hopes that her insights and experiences will be a
valuable asset to MCEC.
